  1. Board Directive
    It is the directive of the Board to allow eligible education support professionals an alternative leave day each year and authorizes the Administration to implement a policy for an alternative leave day for classified staff.
  2. Administrative Policy
    The alternative leave policy shall be administered according to the following administrative policy provisions:

    1. Each eligible education support professional shall be allowed one (1) day of alternative leave per year.
    2. Employees taking alternative leave shall be deducted 40 percent of their daily rate.
    3. Alternative leave is non-accumulative.
    4. Employees shall give at least one day’s notice of the intent to take alternative leave.
    5. Alternative leave may not be used to seek other employment.
